About The Band
Lyle’s Leftovers is a heavy rock and metal band from Western Massachusetts. Playing together now for more than four years, their catalog features over thirty cover songs in addition to original material. While they can often be found at The American Legion in West Springfield, the band also plays private parties and collaborates with other local talent at area venues. The crowd is always up and dancing when Lyle’s Leftovers plays, so be sure to stay up to date with the latest shows and antics on Facebook and on YouTube.
SHIGGADEATH STAR
This drummer turned guitarist would much rather be jamming on strings than behind the sticks, but sometimes, Shigg just has to play. (Because he is THAT good at the double-bass pedal.) Speaking of pedals, have you seen his board? Shigg is always collecting new gear for The Death Star. You can check out his equipment reviews if you want to know more! He is the brains behind the original recordings and social media posts. You’ll see him onstage with his Les Paul, ignoring everyone, while rocking out a solo in pentatonic.
JOSH
Josh doesn’t care about getting paid. He just loves to play. Like Shigg, he plays multiple instruments, and even though you see him on the drums, he doesn’t consider himself a drummer. But, he lost rock-paper-scissors, and therefore lost the spot on lead guitar. Still, Josh loves to get really into the music when he plays, known to grin ear to ear, with a contagious amount of enthusiasm. He is famous for his ability to play anything he hears. On breaks you will find him in the crowd, talking to fans. He says, “MUSIC IS LIFE.”
LYLE
Lyle is old, but not TOO old. Anyway, he’s still spry enough to hang with a bunch of youngsters playing edgy music all night long. Yeah, he’s a pretty cool guy. He even has it on his bucket list to ride his motorcycle to a show if he can ever get off gear-haul duty. As the eldest, Lyle considers himself the backbone of the band… which could be one of the reasons he had to have back and neck surgery recently. Can you imagine how much three other people weigh? With all the hard work this guy does, we will forgive him for playing his bass with only one knotty-knuckled finger!
JERRY
Also known to his friends as Jeff, Jerry sings vocals for the band. His signature growling technique always impresses the crowd! While the guys always joke that it is hard for him to make practice every week with his family commitments, he has the heart and lung power to make every song work on stage during shows. Jeff tributes his fiancee Michelle with the love and support he needs to make music. If you want to say hello, he’s known for being super outgoing. Just be careful, he may secretly be a Russian spy.
That beard is a dead giveaway.
